Replacing fuel line section (from fuel filter to engine)

Image
After changing the fuel pump, the fuel line section between the fuel filter (beneath the fuel tank) and the engine deteriorated and split. For about two weeks, I would start the engine and fuel would piss out from the front right side of the engine. I think the new pump was too much for the original fuel lines which were likely degraded. You can't see from the picture, but there are two small pieces of hosing underneath the white triangle at the top left. One runs from the fuel filter into the engine, and the other from the engine back into the fuel return (which goes back to the pump). I nearly lost all the skin on my hands trying to get this tiny piece of hosing off. It is literally about 10 cm long, but without it you are just spraying fuel onto the floor. I got it off and replaced with a new piece of hosing, secured in place with two jubilee clips at each end. I also need to change the return piece. This is about the same length but even more of a bastard to get out without un

we all have to start somewhere
